IDrive® BMR device interface LHS menu
IDrive BMR’s redesigned device interface is user-friendly, intuitive, and meets business backup management requirements. The main tabs of the interface are displayed on the LHS.
Dashboard
The Dashboard page is the main screen that appears when you connect to the IDrive BMR device interface.
The Dashboard tab displays the status of IDrive BMR operations and storages. This includes Backup status of computers, VMware servers, and network shares; Device information, storage drive health, and Local storage utilization. You can also view detailed information on Cloud storage and a summary of available backups, virtual instances, and restore paths.
Backup
The Backup tab provides options to add Computers and VMware Servers to the IDrive BMR device and manage their backup. Perform full, incremental, and manual backup of entire computers and VMware servers to your IDrive BMR device. You can also create NAS and iSCSI Network Shares within the local device storage and schedule local snapshots.
Restore
The Restore tab allows you to initiate restore for backed-up computers and VMware servers at file and system level. You can also restore NAS and iSCSI shares hosted and backed up on the IDrive BMR device.
Virtualization
The Virtualization tab is where you can quickly create virtual instances of your protected computers and VMware machines on the IDrive BMR device and the cloud. The tab provides options for reconfiguring the virtual instances, without needing to delete the virtual instance.
After a local virtual instance is created for a computer, data backup continues according to the schedule automatically. You can also perform manual backup as needed.
Cloud replication
The Cloud Replication tab helps you replicate the local backups to the cloud and schedule the transfers from your IDrive BMR device to the cloud storage, perform immediate transfers, and monitor the cloud replication status.
Switch to Cloud seeding tab to seed large volumes of data to the cloud. To assist with faster replication of your data, you have the option to avail the cloud seeding service via IDrive BMR Express. This service consists of a temporary storage device to which you can copy the local backups and ship back to IDrive BMR, for bulk data transfer to your cloud account.
Logs
The Logs tab displays the activity logs of your IDrive BMR device. The activity logs include Backup, IDrive cloud, Cloud seeding, Restore, and Deleted logs of computers and VMware servers. You can also view the Share, Backup, Restore, and Deleted logs for all NAS and iSCSI shares on the device. For user convenience, logs are categorized appropriately for Computers, VMware servers, and Network shares. These logs will help you analyze the cause of any operation failure.
You have the option to export the logs in CSV, Excel, and PDF formats.
