Email notification for backups

You can receive notifications on the backup status for computers, VMware servers, and network shares.

To receive notifications on backups,

  1. Connect to the IDrive BMR device interface.
  2. Click settings on the RHS menu.
  3. Go to Email Notification > Backup notification and select the checkboxes Notify on success and Notify on failure as required.
  4. Add the recipient email addresses in the Send backup reports to field and clicksettings.



  5. Click Save.
    These email addresses will receive notifications on backups and, in some cases, notifications on virtual boot verification of computers.
    Note: Virtual boot verification feature is only available for IDrive BMR firmware 8.6.0.
